This Week at BCS: May 6

  • All week:  The Dad’s Club has canceled their BBQ fundraiser due to weather concerns. Please contact them about refunds:  [email protected]. They plan to hold it during the next school year on October 19th.
  • All week:  See LivingTree for STAAR water & snack donation sign up.
  • Tuesday-Friday until further notice:  Closed campus for STAAR testing. Briarmeadow will be closed to all parents and visitors. This includes the cafeteria. Parents may not go past the lobby before school and cannot remain on campus once school begins.
  • Tuesday:  STAAR 8th Grade Algebra
  • Wednesday:  National School Nurse’s Day
  • Wednesday 6-7:30pm:  Dad’s Club meeting at Mike’s Ice House
  • Thursday 6pm:  Sports Banquet
  • Friday 8:30am:  If the campus is open to visitors:  Final International Day planning meeting
  • Friday:  2nd Grade field trip
  • Friday:  Mr. Heinze’s birthday
  • Friday 2:45pm:  Yearbook Release Party for pre-order students
  • Saturday 3-7pm:  Dad’s Club BBQ Dinner

  • Monday & Tuesday:  Boosterthon team huddles & pledge drive on funrun.com
  • Tuesday-Friday:  Picnic wristband sales in the lobby. Pizza or Raising Cane’s chicken fingers, chips, dessert, and a drink for $5. Please bring food donations to the lobby or carpool (chips, juice boxes, water bottles, or nut-free cookies)
  • Wednesday:  Boosterthon Fun Run—get a visitor badge from the front desk before going to the runs:

This Week at BCS: December 3

This Week:

  • Monday 9am:  Elementary spelling bee—parents and non-competing students are welcome to attend.
  • Monday 2:05pm:  Middle School spelling bee—parents are welcome. This event is not open to non-competing students.
  • Wednesday 5:30pm:  5th Grade Parents Exhibition Meeting.
  • Wednesday 6-7:30pm:  Monthly PTO Meeting—please come learn what’s happening at school and how you can help improve BCS.
  • Friday:  Applications/forms due:
    • Sibling enrollment form
    • GT (Gifted & Talented) testing application for students other than K or 5th Grade who are not yet identified as GT (K and 5th are tested annually)
    • BCS Middle School application
    • HISD Magnet application.
  • Saturday 10am-12noonMiddle School community service—all sign up spots are filled for St. Martin’s Church.
