  • Volleyball East Region/Greater Houston Area Champions
    • The Briameadow Volleyball team won their tournament this weekend and are City Champions in their 26 team league.
    • Next is the State Championship semi final this weekend in Austin.

  • Fall Festival

Girls Ages 8+: Girls Elevated Conference

Baylor College of Medicine has invited our female students ages 8+ to register for and attend the 7th Annual Girls Elevated Conference.

  • This event is February 29th at the United Way on Waugh Street.
  • It’s an interactive, multi-track event designed to educate young girls ages 8 -18, and their caregivers, on emotional and physical development, mental health and healthy relationships.
  • There is an inspirational speaker and learning activities for the girls and caregivers.

Baylor College of Medicine Program for Middle School and Up

7th and 8th Grade Families,

The application link for the Baylor College of Medicine Saturday Morning Science Program will be live in about a week. This is a program that exposes 7th-12th graders, especially underrepresented minorities and/or underserved students, to careers in medicine and science, and runs for a total of eight sessions on Saturdays, January-May 2020.

If you got the white PTO Text flyer at the Fall Festival this morning, the big QR code does not work. The QR code is corrected on the yellow flyer. If you have the white flyer, you need to add an @ to the beginning of bcspto4 so that your text reads @bcspto4 before you send it to phone number 81010.

The Dad’s Club Grille at the Fall Festival will have the same menu as last year:  choice of hamburger, hot dog, or grilled cheese sandwich with chips and a drink.

Fall Festival Pre-Sales: Most Delivered Thursday to Backpacks

If you missed the pre-order for Fall Festival t-shirts, a few EXTRAS ARE FOR SALE now.
If your eldest student was at school Thursday, please CHECK THE BACKPACK. If your student was absent, please check the backpack after school today. If anything is wrong with your order, we apologize. It’s all done by volunteers learning as we go. For problems, please email [email protected] or visit the Fall Festival ticket tent on Saturday.

Pennies for Patients until Monday November 18

Update:  Pennies for Patients donation boxes are now due back to the school by Monday November 18 if your student has anything to donate.

On November 7 the school kicked off a donation drive:  Pennies for Patients

  • Now through November 18.
  • This is a voluntary program collecting coin and cash donations.
  • Amounts collected will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of Briarmeadow student Alijah McDaniels who died this summer from leukemia.
  • Please check with your student for more details. He/she should bring home a collection box today or soon.

Last Chance to Buy Fall Festival Tickets In Advance

Fall Festival volunteers are selling wristbands & tickets in the lobby before school Thursday and Friday.

 

  • Pre-sold t-shirts and tickets will go home with students Thursday and Friday. Please check backpacks. If you have any problems with your order, we apologize–it’s all done by volunteers figuring it out as we go–please either contact [email protected] or visit the Fall Festival ticket booth on Saturday.

Da Camera Music Encounters

These are during-school event for students. “Music Encounters” is a Da Camera education initiative that brings classical music and jazz to students just feet from their desks, connecting music with the content students are learning in school.
