From Mr. Heinze’s morning announcements October 14-18:
- The yearbook cover art contest ends November 1. The prize for the winning design is a free yearbook.
- Half of the monkey bars are back up. You need to be very careful. They are only for 1st grade and up. One person is allowed on at a time. If your hands get tired, drop straight down; don’t struggle to hold on. The second set of monkey bars may go up this weekend if everyone follows the rules and is safe.
- Our Volleyball A Team beat Houston Gateway Academy on October 16.
- I know we have Animal Club in the morning in the Science Lab if you signed the permission slip. You must go to your homeroom at 7:45am after you leave the cafeteria. From there your teacher can give you a pass to go to the Animal Club. You may not just show up, and if you don’t see Ms. Mitchell, you are not allowed in the room.
- Please donate to the Girl Scout’s travel size toiletries and socks drive for the homeless. There are boxes for your donation in each cluster and signs for extra information. You can donate toiletry items like soap, socks, and chapstick. When you donate, you get a free dress day on Thursday October 24.
