University Interscholastic League (UIL) Elementary Academic Sign-up Extended

Sign-up for UIL elementary academic (2nd-5th) is now open through September 12th. There are 3-5 spots available for each contest at each grade level. Please be mindful that spots in certain academic areas will fill up quickly. Attached you will find information for contests by grade level.

Please read contest information carefully so that you choose the right contest(s) for your learner. Once you have chosen your contest(s), you may Sign up here by adding your child’s name under the contest name for the appropriate grade level.

Families new to Briarmeadow, University Interscholastic League (UIL) Academics provides opportunities for students to represent their schools in district-wide competitions. Students from schools all over HISD compete in contests ranging from Music to Math (please see attachment) and are committed to practice and coaching in preparation for competition. UIL is an academically as well as socially enriching experience for our learners….and it is free!

Sign up will now be open until next Wednesday, September 12th. Permission slips, coaching days and times and contest information will go home with students who have signed up on Thursday September 13th and must be returned before coaching begins the following week.
